On September 30, 2023, Ambassador Wu Wei met with T. H. Tulensa Palik, Governor of Kosrae State. Ambassador Wu exchanged views on China-FSM relations and subnational cooperation with T. H. Palik.

Ambassador Wu appreciated Kosrae State's long-term adherence to the one-China principle, and thanked Governor Palik for leading the Kosrae State Government to vigorously promote the friendly exchanges and  cooperation with the sister province Shandong and the China-FSM relations. Wu said that the Chinese side stands ready to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with Kosrae State in various fields, including economy and trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, on the basis of upholding the one-China principle.

Palik thanked China, especially the sister province Shandong for their longstanding selfless assistance to Kosrae State. He said that the government and people of Kosrae State will continue to firmly abide by the one-China policy, actively advance the friendly relations with China, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Shandong and other Chinese provinces, so as to achieve greater development of our bilateral relations and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
