On March 31, 2025, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Wu Wei was invited by His Royal Majesty Nahnpwutak Pikiniap Nahnwarki of Sokhes to attend the 2025 Pohnpei Cultural Day. During the event, Ambassador Wu Wei exchanged views with His Royal Majesty Nahnpwutak Pikiniap Nahnwarki of Sokhes, His Royal Highness Iso Nahnken of Sokhes and H.E. Wesley W. Simina, President of the Federated States of Micronesia, on deepening local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between China and the FSM.
