On November 30, 2007, Mr. LU Shihua, Chinese Language Instructor of College of Micronesia-FSM delivered a lecture on Chinese culture at the campus. Mrs. Jean Thoulag, Vice-President of COM-FSM and about 40 teachers and students attended the Lecture.

The Lecture was divided into three parts of 'General Knowledge', 'Brief Introduction' and 'Chinese Culture & Arts'. Mr. LU presented his speech on Chinese history, culture, social & economic development, and education, through varieties of video programs, pictures, music and articles. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy also briefed the audience on procedures of application for the Chinese Government Scholarship.

The Lecture was highly welcomed by the teachers and students, who expressed their wishes that this kind of lecture be held ever and again to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.
