On September 24, H.E. Wu Wei, Chinese Ambassador to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) sent a letter of condolence to T.H. Lorin S. Robert, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, extending the deepest condolences on the passing of H.E. Joseph J. Urusemal, the former President and Chairman of the Committee on Education of the 24th FSM Congress.

In the letter, Ambassador Wu Wei, on behalf of the Embassy, expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Secretary Robert, to the FSM Government and to the family of the late President Urusemal. The late President Urusemal dedicated his entire life to serving the people of the FSM, and attached great importance to and actively pushed forward the development of China-FSM relations. The Embassy extends its highest tribute to him and will forever cherish his outstanding contributions.
