On April 5, 2017, H.E. Ambassador Li Jie met with the study group of the two China-aid passenger and cargo ships at the Chinese Embassy.

The head of the group, Mr. Tan Zusheng, reported to the Ambassador their work in Yap and Chuuk, and introduced the status quo, problems and causes of the two passenger and cargo ships. Ambassador Li made a request for the next step of the study group, hoping them to speed up the progress of follow-up work to ensure the smooth implementation of the project as soon as possible.

Madam Li Cuiying, DCM of the Chinese Embassy in the FSM, and Mr. Xu Fan, head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in the FSM, were present at the meeting.
