From December 6 to 9, 2023, Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe of Shandong Province paid a friendly visit to the FSM and delivered two wonderful performances, which were complete successes. Ms. Jane Chigiyal, Chief of Staff of the President Office, Hon. Brendy Carl, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mcgarry Miguel, Vice Speaker of Pohnpei State Legislature and Vice Chairman of the Micronesia-China Friendship Association, Mr. Peteriko Hairens, representing the Governor of Pohnpei State, and more than one thousand local people attended the performances.

Ambassador Wu Wei welcomed Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe’s visit to the FSM, saying that the visit was a concrete measure taken by China to implement the concept of a Global Community of Shared Future and the Global Civilization Initiative, and promote international exchanges and cooperation, which he believes will effectively promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries, enhance friendship between the two peoples and push forward bilateral relations.

Hon. Brandy Carl, Hon. Mcgarry Miguel and Mr. Peteriko Hairens delivered speeches respectively, thanking Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe for bringing wonderful performances to the FSM, saying that the performances reflect the traditional friendship between the two countries and the FSM is willing to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields such as culture.

Dezhou Acrobatic Troupe held two high-level performances in the FSM, which were climactic, exciting and wonderful, receiving thunderous applause and enthusiastic response.
