H.E. Ambassador Huang Zheng Meets with Former FSM President John Haglelgam

On March 11th, 2021, H.E. Ambassador Huang Zheng met with H.E. John Haglelgam, Second President of the Federated States of Micronesia, who is also the president of Micronesia-China Friendship Association (MCFA) and a professor at the College of Micronesia-FSM Department of Social Sciences.

 

 

Ambassador Huang briefed H.E. John Haglelgam on the recent development of bilateral relations, the two countries' joint efforts against COVID-19, the latest practice of China's reform and opening-up policy, China's achievements in poverty alleviation and Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy. Ambassador Huang encouraged H.E. Haglelgam to exercise his unique influence, hoping that the MCFA, under the leadership of H.E. Haglelgam, will contribute more to consolidating and strengthening the public will for the China-FSM Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

 

H.E. Haglelgam applauded China's achievements in poverty eradication and COVID-19 prevention and control and was glad to see the development of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He said that he will continue to follow and support the development of FSM-China relations and make good use of the platform of the MCFA to advance people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries as well as friendship between the two peoples.
