In order to promote mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and the FSM, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students to study in Chinese universities. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, is responsible for the enrollment and administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs. Now, 289 designated Chinese universities offer a wide variety of academic programs in science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, legal studies, management, education, history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts for scholarship recipients at all levels. CSC has decided to provide 12 quotas of students from the FSM to study in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as CGS) for the academic year 2019/2020. Hainan Municipal Government will provide 10 quotas of students from the FSM to study in Hainan province under the Hainan Municipal Government Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as HMGS) for the academic year 2019/2020. The undergraduate program is open to accept applications from those students who have graduated from the high school or the college or been studying in the college, and the postgraduate program is open to accept applications only from those students who have graduated from the college. The applicants for undergraduate program should be above 17 and under 25 years old with good health. The Chinese Embassy will be open to accept and deal with the applications for the CGS and HMGS until April 25th, 2019.
The applicants should submit their applications online. The instructions for the applicants' online application are enclosed herewith. All the materials which the applicants should deliver to the Embassy before the above-mentioned deadline are also listed in the enclosed list.
